Camtasia Studio

Camtasia is a video computer screen capture software application that is best suited for creating tutorials with faster screen action. You may narrate your tutorial and capture video from a webcam or other camera. Tutorials can be edited in Camtasia Studio and screen transitions, audio, other video, or images can be added, and a multitude of effects can be created.

Camtasia presentations may be rendered as Flash, Windows Media Video, REAL, Quicktime, or even iPod video. The presentations may be published to a website, sent by email, posted to a LMS course site, or burned to CD.

If you are interested in trying Camtasia, a 30 day fully functional trial is available from TechSmith. The CTLT will offer assistance and training with Camtasia and post-production editing and assistance with publishing is available. The CTLT will purchase a license for faculty that indicate potential for significant use and demonstrated need for Camtasia.
